Rudolf "Rudy" Essegern, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Wednesday, January 04, 2012. 

He was 79.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, son of the late Rudolf and Elfrieda (Niemann) Essegern.  Rudy was a Tailor then worked at Calbeck's Warehouse until retiring.

Survived by daughter Monica Essegern (Philip Pizak) of Oshawa, sons Rudy (Barb) Essegern of Brantford, Richard (Karen) Essegern of Port Dover, Daniel Essegern of Toronto, eight grandchildren, eleven greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.  Also survived by dear friend Irmgard Kossits of Hanover, sisters Sonja and Rosemarie.  Predeceased by wife Emma, granddaughter Marguerita and brother Gunther.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Sunday, January 08, 2012 from 2 - 4 pm, and at the Dennis Toll Funeral Home, Brantford on Monday, January 09, 2012 from 11 am until time of a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm.

Interment in Farringdon Burial Grounds, Brantford, Ontario.
