Hugh Stewart, of Hanover, passed away at LHSC University Campus, London on Friday, January 06, 2012.  He was 70.

Born in Belturbet Ireland, son of the late Cecil and Anne (Coogan) Stewart. Hugh was a truckdriver with Shorewood Packaging and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survived by wife Diana (Scott) Stewart, son Anthony (Jane) Stewart of Oshawa, daughters Margaret (Bill) Parker of Ajax, Sheila Stewart of Hanover, Lynda (Charlie) Waechter of Chesley, grandchildren Erin, Chris and Yvette.  Also survived by brothers Cormac (Rita) Stewart, Paul (Mary) Stewart, Gene (Kathy) Stewart, Brian Stewart, sisters Yvonne Stewart, Geri (Peter) Crashaw, Nollag Adshead.  Predeceased by granddaughter Danielle.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm with Vigil Rites at 8:30 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10:30 am, at Holy Family Church, Hanover. Father Mervin Perera officiating.

Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
