Lilly "Lil" Ann Ahrens, of Hanover, passed away after a brief battle with Cancer at Hanover and District Hospital on Friday, March 31, 2023. She was 75.
Born on October 21, 1947 in Toronto to the late William and Nellie (nee Oleksiuk) Shlahetka. Lil was an Administrative Assistant for Hanover Kitchens for many years. She was a faithful and devoted member of the CWL at Holy Family Church in Hanover.
Survived by devoted husband Robert "Bob" Ahrens of Hanover. Loved mother of Christopher (Lesia) Ahrens and Cheryl (Gerry) McLean both of Hanover. Special Baba (Grandma) of Nathan, Jordan, Joshua and Grace – Lil adored looking after her grandchildren, and was a big part of their lives. Fondly remembered by her sister Mary Anne (John) Dunne and Violet "Vi" (Ernie) Kovacs both of Hanover, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. Predeceased by her parents.
Family and friends are invited to visitation held at Mighton Funeral Home, on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Holy Family Church. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, Hanover.
