Margot Albrecht

Margot Charlotte Albrecht, of RR#1 Hanover, passed away at Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce, Owen Sound on Friday, March 19, 2021. She was 72.

Born in Sulzberg, Germany, on July 3, 1948 to the late Dietrich and Kreszentia (nee Mayr) Linder. Margot immigrated to Canada in 1979 where she learned english and over time attended college twice.  Margot first attended college for cooking and worked many years as a cook at the Durham Hospital. The second time Margot attended college she re-trained herself for a long and deeply rewarding career as a personal support worker caring for others in her community. Her loving and patient nature made her perfect for this job.

Margot loved plants and gardens.  In her gardens she tended many species of water lilies, day lilies, and hostas.  Margot also loved knitting, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting, and needlework.  She decorated the lives of her loved ones with many gorgeous handmade items that will adorn their homes with her love.

Survived by loving husband Dieter Albrecht of RR#1 Hanover, son Harald (Suzanne) of Ottawa, and daughter Gudrun (Adrian) Boak of Ottawa. Beloved grandmother of Stephen, Xavier, Esme, and Flora. Fondly remembered by siblings Inge (Gerd) Miessner of Kempten, Germany, and Wolfgang (Irmgard) Linder of Sulzberg, Germany, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Chapman House Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
