Michelle Landsborough

Michelle Landsborough (nee Waechter), of Paris, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hospital in Hamilton on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was 52.

Born in Hanover on January 5, 1969 to Joseph and Karen (nee Kerr) Waechter. After attending university and college, Michelle began her career as a child and youth counsellor. After many years of successfully counselling youth, Michelle transitioned into retail and found her calling as a front end manager with Zehrs in Cambridge. Michelle flourished in this position and made many lifelong friends. Michelle began living with the love of her life Gary in 1999 and later married him on the very special date of August 8, 2008. 

Survived by devoted husband Gary Landsborough of Paris. Loved mother of Dylan Landsborough at home. Dear daughter of Karen (nee Kerr) Waechter of Hanover and sister of Andrew Waechter (Sally Stevenson) of St. Thomas. Michelle will be in the hearts of her parents in law, Ross (Julie) Landsborough of Falkland,  brother in law Dave (Karen) Landsborough of Paris. Missed by her nephews Matthew and Andrew Landsborough and Tyler Saris. The countless memories shared and stories to be told will be remembered always by her best friend Laura McShane and her daughter Brooke Bulmer of Cambridge.  Michelle will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families as well as aunts, uncles and extended family. Predeceased by her father Joseph Waechter, sister in law Pauline Waechter and brother in law Kelly Landsborough.

All are invited to a Graveside Memorial Service to be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm, at Holy Family Cemetery in Hanover. Due to COVID restrictions, please respect social distancing on cemetery property as well as be prepared to provide name and contact information for tracing requirements. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair if desired. Father Tom Moisen officiating.

Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Association or to the War Amps would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
