Keith McDougall

Keith McDougall

Keith Russell McDougall, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Chapman House, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.  Beloved husband of Carol (nee Sherk) for 51 years.  Loving father of Bonnie McDougall and Brent (Nicole) McDougall.  Cherished grandfather of Jake (Nikoletta) Kallos, Bo Kallos, Grace and Jessie McDougall, and great grandfather of Asher, Toby, Paisleigh and Keanna Kallos.  Also survived by his brother Kenneth (Sharon) McDougall.  Predeceased by his parents Alma (Anderson) and Cameron McDougall and his sisters Doris (Wayne) Gerhardt and Ina (Tom) Cordick.

Born in Hanover on August 19, 1949, son of the late Cameron and Alma (Anderson) McDougall.  Keith grew up on the family farm in Crawford, Bentinck Township.  He enjoyed working in the outdoors, whether it be farming, cutting wood or gardening.  He also enjoyed going with Carol to movies, yard sales and shopping malls where many times he could be found sitting on a mall bench or in the parking lot in his truck napping. Over the years, Keith’s health deteriorated. Life was not easy in his retirement, but it never turned him bitter and he never gave up. He was always looking to help others and kept faith that God would see him through which God did.
