Greg Gardiner

Gregory "Greg" Gardiner, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital with his family at his side on Friday, February 25, 2022. He was 75.

Born in Hamilton on September 23, 1946 to the late George and Dorothy (nee Hardiman) Gardiner. Greg was employed with New Life Mills and then eventually moved on to Mechanical Plumbing and Heating in Hanover as the Manager of Administration.

Survived by devoted wife Linda (nee Lord) Gardiner of Hanover. Loved father of Elizabeth (Kevin) Benjamin of Burlington and Jeffrey (Melanie) Gardiner of Elora. Remembered by his sister Sandra (Fred) Eason as well as special cousin Arthur McKnight, both of Hamilton. Greg will be missed by his sisters-in-law Susan Smith of Burlington, Nora (Bernt) Newiger of Pike Bay and brother-in-law James (Heather) Lord of Branchton. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents.

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery. 

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church – Hanover, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Many thanks to the Doctors at University Hospital in London, Dr. Batten and Dr. Heerema, and the wonderful nursing staff of the second floor of Hanover and District Hospital.
