Edmond Kingyens

Edmond Kingyens

Edmond Roy Kingyens, of Brockton, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2022. He was 81.

Edmond was born in Carrying Place, Ontario, on June 8, 1940, to the late Roy and Gertrude (nee Hennessy) Kingyens. Those who knew Edmond knew that he was a jack of all trades, and could fix almost anything. These skills led him to many different jobs over his working years, ranging from working as a crane/heavy equipment operator, to fixing things as a handyman/carpenter, milk truck driver, owner of an upholstery business, and supervising site projects for construction. Edmond loved to work with his hands, from carving wood figurines to building rocking chairs and wheelbarrows for his great grandchildren.  Although Edmond loved tinkering at odd jobs and fixing things, nothing could top his love for his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by many.

Survived by loving wife Ruth (nee Orth) of Brockton.  Loved father of Ron (Darlene) Kingyens, Kathy (Dan) Pennacchietti, George Kingyens (Jackie Bridge), Cheryl (John) Mayburry, and Rod (Tanyia) Kingyens.  Fondly remembered and loved by grandchildren Candace, Brett (Karina), Angela (Hammody), Daniella (Mike), Stephanie (Taylor), Jeremy, Jordan (Kate), Rebecca, Nick (Emma), Matthew (Victoria), Christopher (Emily); Samantha (Chris), and great grandchildren Madelaine, Vincent, Lilianna, Aubrey, Nate, Callum, Lua, Dominic, and Harper.  Dearly missed by brother Ross Kingyens, sister-in-law Kathy Kingyens, brother-in-law Gerald Orth and stepsister, Myra Blackwell.  Predeceased by 3 brothers (James, Bud, and Ernie Kingyens, 3 brothers-in-law Lyle, Bruce and Gary Orth, great grandchild, Camden Kingyens, and stepfather John Ettinger.
