David Reddon

David Reddon

David Reddon, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2022, after 5 year battle with Cancer. He was 65.

Born in Walkerton on April 21, 1956 to the late Harvey and Doris (nee McLeod) Reddon. "Dave", as known to his family and friends, was a great guy. He always had a smile and would help anyone out. You could always find Dave in the bush chopping or splitting wood, hunting for fun and spending time with his fellow hunters or on the many lakes, catching fish. He also loved to barbecue and cook, famous for his "Uncle Dave Sunday Brunches" for family and friends. He was an avid member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. When he wasn't hunting or fishing, he would find time to fit work in. He was employed at RF Dore Surveyors in Kincardine.

Survived by devoted wife Susan (nee Gateman) Reddon. Loved father of Emily and her husband Michael Hunt both of Hanover. Nothing gave him more joy than earning the title of Best "Bucking" Papa to Lennox and Layton. Fondly remembered by his brother Lyle Reddon and his friend Loraine of London. Predeceased by his parents, sister Lynda Wilson, brother Vern and by his sister in law Ruth Ann Reddon.

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, OFAH (Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters) or to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation are appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
