Bertha Tunkl, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. She was 95.

Born in Riedlingsdorf Burganland, Austria, on January 9, 1927, to the late Franz and Karoline (nee Kaible) Tunkl. 

Survived by son Kurt Tunkl of Campbell River, Vancouver Island, BC. Fondly remembered by sisters Paula Mirtle and Helga Jrahrmann both of Austria, and sister-in-law Anne Tunkl of Hanover, as well as many nieces, nephews, and their families. Predeceased by husband Frank Classen, brothers Adolf "Adi", Hans, and Franz, and sisters Mina Kaible and Resel Bermadinger.

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place, with inurnment in the Hanover Cemetery Columbarium.

Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
