Ruth Ann Irene Austin, in her 79th year, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at the Hanover Care Centre on Sunday, September 4, 2022.
Born in Welland, Ontario on June 5, 1943 to the late Frederick and Madeline (nee Bowman) Dilts. Many will remember Ruth from her days working at K-Mart as the Food Administrator in Guelph.
Survived by devoted daughter Kimberley Stead of Allenford and son Ronald (Linda) Austin of Guelph. Dearly loved grandmother of Ashleigh (David), Colin (Ashley), Alexander (Vanessa), Austin (Britt), Heather (Joseph) and great grandchildren Jayden, Jesstyne, Jeromie, Amelia, Araya, Kyson, Cayro, Cloe, Logan, Chase and Katelynn. Remembered by her family friend Bruce McDougall. Predeceased by her husband Ross, granddaughter Stephanie and sister Helen.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place with a memorial celebration to be held at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Parkinson Foundation were appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Dear Kim, Ron and Family, I just found out that your Mom passed away recently. We are very sorry for your loss and will remember all the visits and time together over the Holidays when we were all younger. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
