Maureen Anne Wilson, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Rockwood Terrace in Durham on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She was 82.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on July 23, 1940 to the late James and Jane, “Jean” (nee Jeffrey) Curran. Maureen was employed in the Medical Health Field, working for various hospitals and doctors offices. She loved helping people which lead to her volunteer work with South Bruce Grey Hospital in Walkerton and Women’s House to name a few. She lit up any room she entered.

Survived by loving children Mark (Jodie) Wilson, Lynne (Richard) Pope, both of Brampton, John Wilson(Deborah Swerdfiger) of Port Elgin, Maureen Wilson of Walkerton, Paul (Angie) Wilson of Wasaga Beach and James (Raffaella) Wilson of Bolton. Dearly loved grandmother of Shannon & Amanda, Calla & Joshua, Emily & Ethan, Adam, and Connor & Simon. Maureen will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas "Tommy" Wilson (2008), her brother James "Jim" Curran and sisters Jean and May.

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family inurnment service was held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walkerton.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
