Sharon was born in Sudbury, ON and later moved to Toronto ON, where she met and married Peter Talbot. They then moved to Durham ON, where they raised their three girls. In 1987 Sharon moved to Port St.John, Fl and married Donald Avery. While she resided in Florida, Sharon worked for and excelled in the hospitality industry with the Best Western, Space Shuttle Inn, making many new friends and acquaintances. She then made a change and and began her career at NASA, that would take her into retirement. Sharon eventually moved back to Durham On. to be closer to her family.

Sharon's positive outlook and pure heart touched so many lives and, like a candle in the window on a stormy night, her warm heart had a way to make everyone feel important, comforted and accepted. There was never a time when she would pass up the chance to lend a helping hand to those in need, welcoming both strangers or family alike into her home with open arms. Day or night her door was open and ready to share her homemade cookies, pies, meals and a pot of coffee. The memories and love she leaves behind will be forever in the hearts of those who knew her. You could always depend on a card from Sharon no matter the occasion, big or small, filled with love. Sharon's pride and joy came from her three girls, Granddaughter and Great-Grandson who, for her, were the air she breathed.

Honouring Sharon's request there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at the Durham Town Hall, Durham, Ontario on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 1-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for any donations to be made to Grey County Community Paramedic Services or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.

In life as in death, Sharon's final request is for all to not dwell on the loss but focus on memories that you made with her.
