John Duguay

John Duguay

John Duguay, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Cancer on Thursday, April 13, 2023. He was 69.

Born in Angliers, Quebec on June 25, 1953 to the late Lucien and Regina (nee St. Jean) Duguay. John Sr, was employed with the Catholic School Board until his retirement. He was a proud but stubborn man that dearly loved his family. He recently restored his Dodge Truck and not less than a week ago, mustered up his energy to go for a drive with his son and grandson. A treasured memory for sure.

Survived by devoted wife Beverly Yetman of Hanover. Dear father of David Yetman (Nicole Schildt) of Wingham and father in law of Stephanie Caswell. Special grandpa to Nathaniel and Josephine Duguay. And beloved papa to Gavin and Chloe Yetman. Fondly remembered by his siblings Rollande (Jack) Michaud, Elizabeth Michaud both of Kapaskasing, Ernest (Frances) Duguay of Durham and Jocko (Laurie) Duguay of Hanover as well as nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his fur companions Peanut, Bella and Laddy. Predeceased by his beloved son just last year John Jr Duguay, brothers Roland, Henri and by his brother in law Fern.

Special thank you to the wonderful caregivers that truly understood John's nature and needs, to Maddie, Susan and YuMing your kindness will be remembered.

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation and services. Celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Autism Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.  Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
