Margaret Ann Kerr, of Hanover, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was 89.
Born in Hanover on April 7, 1936 to the late Alexander and Elizabeth (nee Tibbo) Zimmer. Margaret is the last member of her family. In her younger years, she held positions as a Bank Teller as well as the Billing Clerk for the former Hanover Medical Clinic. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a faithful member at Hanover Missionary Church and will be missed by the congregation.
Survived by daughters Debbie (Carl) Hessel, Susan Crosby and by her son Wayne (Glenda) Kerr. Dearly loved grandmother of Tracy (Chris), Trevor (Danielle), Shannon (Andy), Brittany (Ryan), Marshall, Mandy and Stacy (Alex) as well as her great grandchildren whom she adored: Sloan, Abigail, Corbin, Chase, James, Juliette, Howard, Daniel, Sienna, Oakley, Cameron, Jayda, Callie, Khaya, Milo, Lilith and George. Marg will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved husband Murray (2006) and all her siblings Pauline, Joan, John, Walter, Theodore, Victor, Robert and Douglas.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Graveside Service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery – Columbarium in June.
Memorial donations to the Hanover Missionary Church would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

I was so sorry to hear of Margs death.Condolances to the family. She talked fondly about the family. I often sat with her in church & often help serve lunch at funerals with her. Her death is a great loss.

I enjoyed visits with Marg over tea and crackers. We had many laughs even though she had difficulty hearing. She shared lots of stories about her kids and grandkids. She is at rest now.

My condolences to the family. I am going to miss my visits with Aunt Marg. The latest was on her birthday. My visits only happened 3 or 4 times a year but were cherished by me for sure. Rest in peace Aunt Marg.
