Suzanne Marie Katherine Wingfield, of Walkerton, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.She was 63.
Born in Cambridge on June 6, 1961, to Walter and Margaret (née Zik) Nawrot, Suzanne had a lifelong love of horses, animals, and gardening. She found joy in caring for her plants and the people around her. Though her eyesight presented challenges, she faced them with quiet strength and determination.
Suzanne was known for her warm and welcoming spirit. She always had a smile on her face and would strike up a conversation with anyone, whether she knew them or not. Her openness and kindness made her a friend to everyone she met.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas “Tom” Wingfield of RR#2 Walkerton. Cherished stepmother of Morgan (Tinashe) Wingfield of Hamilton and Nancy (Scott) Hartling of Halifax. Loving daughter of Margaret (née Zik) Nawrot. Adored grandmother of John and Ben Hartling, and Bo Wingfield. Dear sister of Sylvia (Peter) Clay and Frank Nawrot, both of Hamilton. Fondly remembered by her niece Megan and nephew Nicholas, as well as the entire Wingfield family. Predeceased by her father, Walter Nawrot.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 1–3 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Suzanne was so friendly and outgoing I always enjoyed all our conversations from the first one, doing the dishes together at your mums.

Suzanne was a valuable member of our Accessibility Advisory Committee in Brockton. I always looked forward to our meetings and her cheerful and positive manner among the thoughtful ideas she brought with her. She will be missed. Our condolences to Tom and the entre family.
