Terri Ann Baker

Terri Ann Baker

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Terri Ann Baker from Hanover, who peacefully left us on Friday, September 12, 2025, at her summer home in Sauble Beach.

Born on February 4, 1959, in Edmonton, Alberta, Terri was the daughter of the late James and Marg (Suik) Orton. Her caring personality and positive energy were felt by everyone around her. Her love for life shone through in all she did. Terri found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and friends, always putting others first. She was deeply passionate about her many hobbies, particularly crafting, and card making, as well as all her travels on her bike.

Terri’s enjoyment of entertaining was felt by those she loved—her home was always open to family and friends, and she never failed to send guests home with ‘care packages’ of leftovers in takeout containers. Sauble Beach was her happy place, where she felt most at peace, surrounded by nature and the people she loved. Terri and Archie spent their retirement years at the lake surrounded by the community of friends and family who love them.

She is survived by her children: Lonnie (Alicia) Baker, Amy (Jeremy) Bentley, and Blair (Amanda) Baker. Terri was the cherished grandmother of Nicole (Josh), Tyrese, Paisley, Claire, Bailey, and Everett. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Darrell (Marlene) Orton, her in-laws Lavern Baker (Linda Lambier), Marilyn Anderson, and Marg (Bob) Burrell, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.  Terri was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband "Archie" Clarence Edward Baker (just one year ago), by her granddaughter Danica Baker, her brother Harold Orton and her nephew Trevor Anderson.

To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Come and Go will be held at the Ground Effects Special Events Centre (#341411 Conc. 2 NDR, Hanover) on Sunday, September 28th, 2025 from 2-4 pm.

With the recent loss of her beloved granddaughter, Danica Baker, memorial donations would be appreciated to her Memorial Fund as expressions of sympathy.

To Terry & Archie's children and siblings,

So sorry for your loss this will be the toughest year in your life.
Archie and Terry were our first common friends when we met and although we did not see them often, they were always in our thought and we always enjoyed Terrys visits to Alberta she always made a point of contacting us.

Stay strong and remember everytime you see a Cardinal or a Dragonfly that they are there watching over you.

Love Kieth and Brenda
