Ruthanne Grein-Boxberger
April 18, 1941 - September 19, 2025
Ruthanne Grein-Boxberger (Lehman) of RR#1 Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025 at the Hanover & District Hospital. She was 84.
Loving mother of Tracy David (Glenn) of RR#1 Hanover and Perry Grein (Barb Dodds) of Lethbridge, Alberta. Proud grandmother of five grandchildren Devin David (Jessica) of RR#1 Hanover, Drew Johnson (Myles) of Walkerton, Shaun Grein and Jasmine Grein of Lethbridge, Alberta and Rayne Makin (Taylor) of Maple Valley, Washington, USA. Cherished great grandmother of five Marley David, Atlas and Oakland Grein and Mila and Madden Makin. Survived by her sister Gertie Valad of Wiarton and sister- in- law Elaine Lehman of Kitchener. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her first husband Leonard Grein (1993), second husband Ewald Boxberger (1999) and companion Donald Potts (2016) as well as her parents Joseph and Gertrude Lehman, brothers William, George, Harry, Allan, and sisters Margaret, Eleanor Brier, Rose Kaufman, Betty Siliphant, Madeline Breutigam and Christine Currie.
The family wish to express appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Lassaline for her compassionate care.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church - Ayton from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. A Memorial Service will commence at 11 am. Pastor Kevin McLeod officiating. Inurnment in Ayton Union Cemetery.

I am so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. I have such fond memories of her working at Ross' store. Always a good giggle and maybe even some great food advice to be had while shopping. I, for one, will remember and think of your mother EVERY CHRISTMAS when I take out that well used recipe card titled “Ruth Grein's Poppycock”! Truly a crowd pleaser and an absolute staple at Christmas time at my house! My sympathy to you all…I know that you will miss her a lot!
