Clifford “Cliff” Oliver Nuhn, of Hanover, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Chapman House Residential Hospice in Owen Sound on Sunday, October 5, 2025. He was 97.
Born on March 24, 1928 to the late Louis and Flossie (nee Graham) Nuhn. Many will remember Cliff for his gentle nature and his work ethic. He was the owner of Nuhn’s Construction along with his wife Marie and was a respected business owner amongst the community of Hanover. In his earlier years, he and Marie would always make the trip to Plant City in Florida. Cliff always held on to traditional values and loved his family. He was a regular that will be missed at both locations of Tim Hortons.
Survived by children Kenneth (Elaine) Nuhn of London, Henry (Norma) of RR#2 Brockton, Helen Nuhn of Hanover, Maxine Nuhn (Pat Bender) of Listowel, Barbara (Roger) St. Onge of Hanover and Eleanor (Jose) Garcia of Plant City, Florida. Cliff was a special grandpa making time for each of his 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 22 great great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his only remaining sibling James "Jimmy" Nuhn and his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his wife Marie (nee Nielson), grandson Steven Nuhn, great grandson Owen, son in law Warren Zettler, brothers Leonard, Rennie, Rueben, Dennis, Manuel and sisters Dorothy Ransome, Mildred Hunt and Audrey Ball.
Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 1-3 & 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 am, at St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church. Interment in Hanover Cemetery, Hanover.
Memorial donations to the Sick Kids Hospital Toronto and Sick Kids Hospital London would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
