Ronald Philip Karn, of Hanover, passed away at The Village Seniors Community, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in his 90th year.
Born in Kitchener, Ontario on November 18, 1935, to the late Edgar and Virginia (nee Cressman) Karn. Many people will remember Ron from his friendly smile and personality during his many years working for Kaufman's Footwear in KW. Ron and his wife Rita eventually moved to Neustadt, where they owned and operated a small store, before eventually retiring and moving to Hanover. Ron was a long-time member of the Lion's Clubs in KW and Neustadt. Ron and Rita loved to travel, especially in Canada, where they visited many provinces and attractions, and enjoyed seeing their beautiful country. Above all, Ron loved spending time with friends and family, and was a proud grandpa. He will be missed.
Survived by devoted wife Rita Karn of Hanover. Loving father of Richard Karn of Durham, Ronda (Darell) Peter of Neustadt, Robin (Ken Wilds) Karn of Ayr, and Raymond Karn of KW. Adored grandpa of Derick, Sherie, Josh (Becky), Samantha (Jason), Cassidy, Corey, and great grandchildren Aargon, Peyton, Jade, Ethan, and Taylor. Fondly remembered by sisters Sally (Emil) Julling of KW, and Donna Buschlen of KW. Predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Dave Buschlen, and nephew Adam Buschlen.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
