Jeffrey Ross Albert Metzger, formerly of Hanover, passed away suddenly at his residence. He was 59 years young.
Born August 28, 1966 to the late Kurt and Lynda-Kay (Ludwig) Metzger. Jeff attended JDSS and always had a smile on his face. He loved to make you laugh and people grew to love his sense of humour and looked forward to hearing the daily “stupid” dad jokes that he would come up with. His latest being “It’s raining cats and dogs out there! I almost stepped in a poodle!” He had a passion and love for comic books and has always been so very thankful (and spoke often) of Mr. Morrow, his grade 6 teacher for introducing him to his favourite books “The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings”.
Remembered by his siblings Tammy (Trent) Graf, Shawn (Sarah) Metzger, Paul Metzger (Melissa) and Kelly Metzger (Erik). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Riley, Brianna and Brady (Graf), Courtney, Caleb, Jordyn, Parker and Addison (Metzger), Alexis and Chloe (Haydon-Metzger), Peyton, Oliver and Benjamin (Lott) along with lifelong friend Phil (Barb) Waddington and former co worker Alex. It was because of them and their beliefs that Jeff found his way back to the lord and was once again baptized at the Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church. Predeceased by his parents.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association or to the Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca

- Mike HodgkinsonOur condolences. I was young when I knew Jeff, and he reminded me of a bear, standing tall, easy going, chilling, doing his own thing..... and had to make sure you were not the slowest kid around when poking the bear.
