Damon Dennis Davis, of Hanover, passed away tragically as a result of an accident on Tuesday, November 11th, 2025. He was 17.
Born on August 27, 2008 in Hanover to parents Andrew and Lisa (nee Lemont) Davis. As the first-born child, Damon arrived with a fierceness and was immediately loved. He could be temperamental and bossy with the ‘first-born syndrome’. He loved to be loud and do things his way, but under that tough exterior laid a little boy with a huge heart. As he grew, he anticipated and enjoyed the arrival of both his brother Connor and baby sister Abby. Together all three of them would play and be surrounded by their tight knit family and extended family... often having his cousins as extra siblings to horse around with. Damon enjoyed life both in town and on his grandparents’ farm where he learned the value of hard work. He always loved taking off on his Grandma Juniper's ATV when visiting them up on the Peninsula. After graduating from Hanover Heights, he moved to John Diefenbaker Senior School (JDSS), where he enjoyed anything that involved fixing. Damon was taught from a long line of men, including his grandpas and dad, to repair just about anything around the farm from tractors to lawnmowers. He also enjoyed playing video games with his friends, and talking nonsense on voice chats with them. This past summer he was employed with Durham Furniture (which was right up his alley with many tools involved), and he enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend of 3 years, Abrianna. He had been looking forward to obtaining and finishing his Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) at JDSS, where he was in the application process for Automotive Service Technician that now goes uncompleted.
Damon will be remembered for his kindness with residents and staff at the Hanover Care Centre, where he volunteered for different events. The next event he looked forward to was the Christmas lights walk on December 1st, which he had helped with the past few years. Even without being asked, he volunteered to go to work with his mom to assist with resident care on a blizzardy winter day when road closures caused short staffing issues. He had the heart of a servant. He was a member of St. Matthew's Ev. Lutheran Church where he was baptized, confirmed and served as an acolyte. He will be missed by his pastor, members of the congregation, as well as many community members in Hanover.
Survived by parents Andrew and Lisa (nee Lemont) Davis of Hanover. Loved brother of Connor (14) and Abby (12), both at home. Damon will be treasured and remembered by his girlfriend of 3 years Abrianna Freiburger and her family. Special grandson of Ron and Sharon Davis and Sherry and Terry Juniper, and great grandson of Ev Byers. Damon was loved by his aunts and uncles that treated him like their own and will miss him dearly: Jeri-Lee Davis, Crystal (Jason) Peiman, Heather Lemont (Keith Heaton), Logan Lemont (Mya), Annabelle Bellerose, Lexi Lemont, Amanda (Adam) Hopkins, and his cousins Matthew, Scott and William Peiman and Kali Linnen. He will be missed by all the family border collies: Titan, Cloud, Ace, Loki, and Lightning. Predeceased by his Papa John Lemont and seven great-grandparents.
A public visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Tuesday, November 18th, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A private family Funeral Service will be held, with Rev. Lori Pilatzke officiating. The Funeral Service will be recorded, and made available for the public to view in the following days, allowing the community a chance to grieve in the comfort of their own homes.
Memorial donations to the London Children’s Hospital would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Always remember as much as it pains our hearts to know he is no longer with us in the physical world, he is now doing his true calling as a child of God.
