

Frances "Fay" Paulitzki, of Walkerton, passed away at Brucelea Haven, on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, in her 93rd year.
Born in Sarnia, Ontario, on September 12, 1933 to the late William and Frances (nee Young) Mason. At a dance in Sarnia many years ago, Fay met the love of her life, Les Paulitzki. They were married on December 12th, 1953, and would have celebrated their 72nd anniversary this year. They started their family in Sarnia, eventually moving to Hanover in 1964. Many will remember Fay from her many years working at ‘Hank’s Food Basket’ grocery store in Hanover. Fay and Les loved spending time with family, and becoming proud grandparents and great grandparents.
Survived by daughters Lou-Ann (Richard) Frook of St. Mary’s, Carol (Paul) Chantry of Hanover, Karen Gerber of Woodstock, and sons Ron (Lori) Paulitzki, and Tim (Nancy) Paulitzki, both of Walkerton. Loved grandmother of Amy (Shawn), Jason (Carmen), Natasha, Michelle (Steve), Darcy, Chad (Kaitlyn), Cory (Maria), Darren, Kyle (Marley), and great grandmother ‘GG’ of 8. Fondly remembered by her brother David Mason (Beverly) of Sarnia, sister Joan Lemay of Chesley, sister-in-law Mary-Lou Desjardine of Zurich, as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents, son-in-law Richard Gerber, grandson Darryl Longmire, brothers-in-law Daniel Lemay and Roy Paulitzki, sisters-in-law Anne Nordstrom and Shirley Catt, and grandson-in-law Dylan Thomas.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, from 11 – 11:45 am, where a Celebration of Life will follow at 12 noon. Pastor Jenn Brown officiating. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery. Immediately following the service, a luncheon and time of fellowship will be held at the Walkerton Legion.
Memorial donations to the Saugeen Hospice (https://www.saugeenhospice.ca/donations/), Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca/), or the Brucelea Haven Residents’ Recreation Fund would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

I'm saddened to hear of Aunt Fays passing. Some of my fondest memories are of camping in the backyard, fishing and swimming in the river and spending summer nights as a kid watching Blue Jays games and eating chips from the freezer.
