Lincoln R.B. Miller, formerly of Hanover passed away suddenly on Friday, February 27, 2026 at his residence in Durham. He was 52. Locally known as the “Music Man”, Lincoln will be remembered for his talent on not only the piano, but the guitar and accordion.
Born to the late Beverley and Virginia (nee Bennington) on September 12, 1973 in Hanover. Lincoln graduated from John Diefenbaker Secondary School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (History) degree at Wilfred Laurier University. However, his real passion was music. He was very active in the Grey Bruce region music scene, where he was both a performer and teacher. He always took interest in others musically and helped push his students to improve. He would frequently attend the bars, the Legion or any other venue to jam out. His rendition of the Piano Man and Great Balls of Fire will live on in countless peoples’ memories.
He will be missed by his extended family and cousins: Uncle Garry Miller, Aunt Mary Lamont (nee Miller), Aunt Linda Bennington, and Aunt Marlene (formerly Bennington), and dozens of cousins.
To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his life will be held in the summer with details to follow. Inurnment in Hanover Cemetery beside his parents.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to any organization that fights alcoholism and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
As you remember the love, as you mourn the loss, may you celebrate the life. May the healing hands of time and the timeless love of God carry you gently through the coming days. We always enjoyed it when Lincoln played the piano during coffee time after Sunday service. He truly had a gift.

So sorry to hear of Lincolns passing
Such a talented man!
My condolences to the Miller Family. I have known Lincoln pretty much my entire life through church services / Sunday school together as a child to working with Lincoln at the Bluewater radio station in Hanover for quite a few years as volunteers both sharing our love of music to everyone else who would tune in and listen to our shows! He was very naturally talented. I always enjoyed every moment I spoke with him to Karaoke nights at various venues throughout the area. He will be sadly missed by many who knew him and whom was taught by Lincoln. God Bless and "Play On Music Man" in that Great Beyond!!
- Sharon HermanI will always remember Lincoln rocking the piano at parties in our highschool days, entertaining at the bar and especially streaming live for us during the pandemic. He brightened some dark days during lockdown and I will always appreciate that gift!
