Thomas Randolph "Randy" Dowdell, of RR#2 Tara, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Brightshores Health Systems in Owen Sound on Friday, March 6, 2026, just shy of his upcoming birthday. He was 75.
Born in Owen Sound on March 17, 1950. Better known as Randy to his family and friends, he was such a lighthearted kind man. He had a heart full for all animals but especially all the ones he took in over the years at the farm alongside Linda. He was employed as a contractor and enjoyed all his delivery routes.. even working for Canada Post at one point.
Survived by devoted partner and best friend for over 34 years Linda Weber of RR#2 Tara. Loved step father of Neal Girodat (Michelle), Kyle Girodat (Alyssa). He was absolutely enamored by his granddaughters Zoey and Lily and they will miss "Grandpa Tomato" very much. He will be missed by the entire Weber family and extended family as well as past fur-babies, his German Shephard Radar as well as his Donkey "Buddy".
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mightonfuneralhome.ca
