John "Sean" Martin O'Hagan

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of a forever friend and beloved husband and father, Sean O'Hagan. John Martin "Sean" O'Hagan, of Hanover, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hanover and District Hospital on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was 74.

Sean was born in Belfast Northern Ireland on September 14, 1951 to the late James and Susan (nee Scullion) O'Hagan. Sean loved the outdoors... especially hockey and fishing, but the most important thing he loved was being a family man to the core of his heart.

Survived by his wife Suzanne of 54 years who loved him dearly and with her whole heart. The true meaning of soul mate in the essence of the word. Loved father of Diane and Sean Jr. Special papa of Chelsea , Braden, Tristan and Nathan and great papa to Liam and Rosie. Sean will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Patsy, Jim, Sue as well as his brothers and sisters in laws, many nieces, nephews and their families both in Canada and Ireland. Sean was dearly loved by his Uncle Michael who resides in Arizona.

To honor his wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Safe and Sound or to your local homeless shelter or reach out to someone in need with an act of kindness, just like Sean would have done, would be appreciated by the family. Messages of condolences can be sent to www.mightonfuneral@wightman.ca

Please know that we are here for you, Sean was a wonderful person that touched many lives, his kindness and spirit will always be remembered.

It is with deep regret I mourn the passing of my dear brother Sean, alough many years and miles separated us we still had a strong family bond, With my own family we did enjoy those few times when we were togather, the banter, the beer, and your belief you were the master of the "Barbecue" memories that will stay with us all.
To my sister in law Suzanne, Diane, Sean and families the grief we now feel is tempered by what he left us, for we are all the richer for knowing him.

Suzanne and family, I know Sean has left a great void in all of your hearts. It is difficult to think of the words to say as condolence, let me just say instead, remember him fondly and all the great memories he left you. Reach out if ever there is anything I can do, even if it is just to talk. Love you all.
