Gary Robert Kunkel, of Hanover, passed away at The Village Seniors Community, Hanover on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. 

Born on January 13, 1952 to the late Henry and Jessie (nee Brindley) Kunkel.  Gary faced several health challenges as he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the young age of 24. 

Survived by his brother Len (Sunsan) Kunkel, Marjorie Ernest and sisters in law Marilyn Kunkel, Susanne Kunkel and Yvonne Kunkel as well as nieces, nephews and their families. He will be fondly remembered by his godmother Barbara Kunkel (nee McLennan) of Cargill. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Francis "Frank", Henry "Hank", Ronald and godfather Leonard Kunkel.

Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Memorial Service held on  Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 am at Douglas Hill Cemetery, Brockton.   Pastor Lyndsay McGregor officiating.
