

Lee William Schiefele, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at Waterloo Regional Health Network in Kitchener on Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was 78.
Born in Hanover on August 3, 1947 to the late John and Darleen (Kramp). Lee was raised by John and Janet (nee Cooney) after his moms passing. Many will remember Lee as he played the trumpet for many Legion Remembrance Day services. He was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Hanover and was employed with Electrical Contacts until retirement.
Survived by devoted partner Marilyn Haug of Hanover. Loved brother of Janette (Bill Witter) and Wayne (Judy) Schiefele. Remembered by his niece Brandy (Kevin) Mansfield and nephew Darren (Stephanie) as well as their families. He will be remembered by his great nephew Josh.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to a Casual Memorial Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at the Royal Canadian Legion - Hanover from 1-3:30pm. Please bring your memories and stories about Lee. A family inurnment will be held at the Hanover Cemetery.
