We are so sorry to lose a good neighbour and a fine friend in Merelda. It is hard to imagine we won't see her working with her dear husband Larry in the garden or sitting on the porch with him enjoying a cool breeze. We will miss Merelda's wonderful sense of humour, her common sense outlook on life, and her kindness towards us.
Our sincere condolences go to Larry, Kathy, Lorrie and their families.

Larry and family, my heart aches for the loss of your beloved Merelda. For the past 11 years, I've had the privilege of living next door and Merelda was always the sweetest and kindest person imaginable. My enduring image of her will be her annual weeding under the big spruce tree. She would be working away so quietly we wouldn't notice until suddenly we realized she was there hidden under the branches pulling out weeds. Rest easy, dear lady.

My thoughts are with Larry, Kathy and Lorrie and members of their families.
I am filled with great memories of the opening years in Minto Clifford School. As the gym teacher in a new school with children from many, many one room schools, she built the program literally from nothing…. lots of the supplies didn't arrive when we did! I'm sure your hearts are filled with precious memories of this special lady, too. Hold them tight.
