It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Alice Roulston (nee Simpson), on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Village Seniors Community. She was 92.
Nancy was born on July 15, 1933 in Kitchener to the late Kenneth and Muriel (nee Lohnes) Simpson. She married the love of her life Murray, and spent most of her married life as a homemaker until all the kids went to school. She decided to keep as busy as her children and went into bookkeeping for numerous businesses. She also was a member of the Hanover Hospital Ladies Auxiliary for 55 years and enjoyed the various roles she filled. Whether it was Treasurer, Past President, Vice President or the Ways & Means committee, she enjoyed it all. She would create endless knitting creations that have been worn by many children, each stitched and knitted with love. She always baked and made delicious meals for family and friends to enjoy.
Loved by her children Brenda (Al) Mauer, Mike (Louise) Roulston, Roger (Andrea) Roulston and Steve (Pam) Roulston. Special grandmother of Alecia (Kelly) Lantz, Chad (Melissa) Mauer, Tyson Roulston (Claire), Michaela Roulston (Abhisehk), Brianna (Khail) Schnurr and Kyle Roulston (Jess). She will be forever missed by her great grandchildren Declan, Brooke, Griffen, Tucker, Hazel, Hayden and Colton. Fondly remembered by her brother Ken (Dolly) Simpson, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her beloved Murray, brother in law Robert (Doris) Roulston.
To honour her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at the Hanover Cemetery.
A special thank you to the PSW’s, nurses and doctors at the Village for all the care and compassion shown to mom.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Hanover & District Hospital Auxiliary or to the Saugeen Hospice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover. Messages of condolences are welcomed at
To Nancy's children: Your mother was a wonderful lady. I have many special memories of her when we would get together. We shared a love of knitting and of fishermen (Bob and Murray).
