

Nelson Douglas Granger, of Hanover, passed away surrounded by the love of his wife and family at Hanover and District Hospital on Sunday, August 30, 2026. He was 82.
Nelson was born in Mimico, Ontario on December 9, 1943 to the late Cornelius and Violet (Rose) Granger. Nelson will be remembered fondly as a driver for Home and Community Support Services. He was employed with Canada Post for 32 years until his retirement. Nelson and Bernice had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 25, 2024. Nelson loved his family and offered a helping hand when needed. His strength and guidance will live on in each of his loved ones.
Survived by son Andrew (Michele) Granger of Ayr, daughters Jennifer Tennant of Hanover, Martina (Rob) MacNeil of West Grey and Cortnee (Craig) Morten of Neustadt. Also survived by many grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his sisters in law Sally Granger, Diane McCrodan and brother in law Don Moore as well as Bernices family Lynne Lerch, Margaret Atkinson, Kathleen Scott, and Gayle MacKay as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by parents, son in law Boyd Tennant, brothers Ted, John, sisters Betty (Jack) Mountford, and Shiela Moore as well as brothers in law Bill MacKay, Harvey Lerch, Jim Atkinson and Gary Scott.
To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or services.
